Welcome to the website of The East Lothian Pipes and Drums Trust (ELPDT)

ELPDT was set up in 2007 to give young people in East Lothian the opportunity to learn the Great Highland Bagpipe and the accompanying Pipe Band Drums.

We offer free lessons to youngsters in a number of primary and secondary schools in East Lothian, and our team of tutors also visit most of the county’s community pipe bands to support their teaching of the players of tomorrow.

The East Lothian Pipes and Drums Trust and/or ELPDT names are the commonly-used names for The East Lothian Pipes and Drums Charitable Trust. This is a charitable trust registered in Scotland (No. SC037980).
